Mixing Nutrients: Mixing Dry Powders
Mixing powdered nutrients can seem unfamiliar or daunting for some people often leading to misinterpreted thoughts about them, powders aren't that much different to liquid nutrients, they just come in a powder form.
When mixing powders, it is best to wear a mask for your health, breathing in any powders is really not good for your respiratory health and can lead to breathing issues after long exposure. We also recommend wearing eye protection and gloves to prevent any unwanted contact.
It is best practice to store your powders in airtight containers or bags in a low humidity environment with a relatively low temperature below 25° as some powders can take on water and become unusable or mushy. This instability or excess moisture retention can lead to imbalances.
It should take a minute or two for the powders to mix into the water, you should expect the water to turn 'clear' (meaning all of the powders are dissolved and there are no clumps floating around). Once you have added all your powders you can adjust the water to your desired pH and begin watering your plants.
