Why You Should Be Using Morganics Organic Fertiliser In The Home Garden
Why You Should Be Using Morganics organic fertiliser in the Home Garden
Feeding the garden veg garden should be easy, for some people using bottle fertiliser, measuring caps and remembering to feed every week is just too much work!
Morganics solves this problem by offering a 'dry blend fertiliser' that is easy to use straight out the bag, it does the job with just a small sprinkle, a rake and a watering can! After application it keeps working in the soil long after you've put the bag away.
The blend is versitile and organic based so its great for outdoor veg garden beds, fruit trees, ornamentals and even your lawn, one bag for the whole garden!
What Is Morganics Made From?
Morganics is a blend of:
- chicken manure
- processed fish
- kelp
- finely crushed rock dusts
- beneficial minerals and plant matter
The blend uses Eco-friendly certified phosphate, potassium, boron and sulphur, along with added trace elements to ensure your crop grows vigorously and without nutrient deficiencies!
Morganics is also a BioGro certified input for organic crops. That means you can use it on an organic garden and your produce can still be grown and sold as organic - great for anyone growing produce as a secondary income stream!

Why Use It in the Veg Garden?
Morganics feeds the soil, not just the plant. It adds nutrients and organic matter that support soil biology, and we all know, healthy soil means healthier plants!
In the veg garden, it can encourage:
- stronger root systems
- better nutrient distribution/movement through the plant
- disease resistance
- more flower site, more fruit and more seeds
-
food should have a better taste and produce usually sees an increased shelf life
Benefits Of Using Morganics Over Liquid Feed Systems
Easier Than Liquid Feeds
Liquid feeds have their place, but in an outdoor garden they can be a lot of work, some gardeners prefer this route but alot of us like to 'keep it simple'.
With Morganics there's no mixing and no measuring jug. Sprinkle it on, rake it in, water it, done. An average adult hand holds about 100 g, so you don't even need scales to measure it!
It Sticks Around Longer
A liquid feed is a quick hit. Whatever the roots don't take up will most likely just drain away from the plant root zone and be wasted, especially in free-draining soil or after heavy rain.
Morganics sits in the soil and breaks down over time, That's why you only need to apply it once a season rather than every week or two.
Affordable - A Little Goes a Long Way
Because it's a seasonal application, one bag stretches a long way:
- Veg beds: 1-2 kg covers 10 m²
- Lawns: 8 kg covers 80 m²
- Seedlings: a single handful per planting hole
No constant top-ups, no shelf full of bottles.

NZ Made, With Our Environment in Mind
Morganics is a New Zealand owned and operated company that is actively working to reduce chemical leaching into our waterways. No more "it's good for my plants, but is it good for the environment?" Morganics is built to be both.
How to Use It
- New veg beds: mix 100-200 g/m² into the soil, then water
- Planted veg beds: spread a generous layer on top, rake and water
- Fruit trees: cover the ground out to the width of the canopy at 100-200 g/m², rake and water. Keep it away from the trunk
- Seedlings and small plants: mix a handful (100 g) into the planting hole, plant, cover and water
- Lawns: a generous sprinkle - 8 kg per 80 m²
- Grass seed: sow seed, cover with a layer of soil, add Morganics, rake and water
Store it somewhere cool and dry, out of sun and rain, and open the bag in a well-ventilated area.
