Green Culture Propagation Plugs are a high-performance, organic-based propagation solution designed for seed starting and cuttings across hydroponic, aeroponic, aquaponic, and soil-based systems. Made by the top global plug manufacturer, specifically for Green Culture, these plugs are engineered to deliver faster strike rates, quicker rooting, and stronger root development when compared to traditional stonewool, coco based or peat-based plugs.

Manufactured using OMRI organic-listed coco coir, sustainably sourced peat moss, biochar, and a vegetable-based binder, these plugs are super spongy while maintaining excellent structural integrity. They won’t break apart or clog irrigation and filtration systems, making them ideal for high-turnover commercial propagation as well as home growers. Green Culture is a proudly Kiwi-owned company, and these plugs reflect our “made by growers, for growers” philosophy.

How it works:

Each plug comes pre-moistened and pre-charged with a complete NPK fertiliser and naturally occurring Trichoderma, creating an ideal environment for early root establishment. The plug’s engineered structure provides exceptional moisture retention (93%) while still maintaining high air-filled porosity (22%), ensuring oxygen availability in the root zone.

Seeds or cuttings are inserted directly into the plug, which can then be placed into NFT channels, DWC/RDWC systems, flood & drain tables, vertical towers, aeroponic systems, aquaponics setups, or soil media. If plugs dry out, simply rehydrate by dunking them in plain water.
