GT Oxy 3% is a high-quality 3% hydrogen peroxide solution, made from pure hydrogen peroxide and distilled water with no additives. It improves root health, pest control, and sanitation across soil, soil-free, and hydroponic growing systems.

Regular use boosts oxygen levels for root health and growth, helps control soil pests such as fungus gnat maggots and root aphids, and combats common fungal and bacterial plant diseases including root rot. It also sanitises soil and soil-free potting mixes, semi-hydro, hydroponics, and tissue culture systems (including leca and pon), controls waterborne pathogens such as algae, slime, fungus, spores, and biofilm, and can be used to disinfect pots, tools, and trays.

How it works:

Hydrogen peroxide is naturally present in rainwater and breaks down quickly into oxygen and water, destroying harmful microbes such as spores, fungi, and bacteria in the process. This intense oxidation also ruptures soft-bodied soil pests like gnat larvae and root aphids. Because it breaks down cleanly with no harmful residues, Oxy 3% is plant-safe, pet-safe, and people-safe once dry.

Application Guide:

Spot-test before first full-plant use. Always dilute before applying to foliage, and when spraying foliage, keep plants out of direct sun and turn grow lights off until dry.

Recommended application rates:

• Root health and growth: 50ml per 1 litre of water, watered into growing medium, repeated as often as every second watering
• Treating root rot: equal parts Oxy 3% and water, drenched into substrate, repeated after 7 days if symptoms persist
• Controlling soil pests/fungus gnats: 150ml per 1 litre of water, thoroughly wetting or soaking the growing medium, repeated every 7 days as needed
• Controlling algae/slime/biofilm: 15ml per 1 litre of water, added to the water reservoir as part of regular maintenance
• Cleaning/sanitising/disinfecting: use at full strength (do not dilute); soak and/or wipe pots, tools, and trays, then rinse and air dry

Important Information:

• Spot-test before first full-plant use
• Always dilute before applying to foliage
• Keep sprayed foliage out of direct sun and turn grow lights off until dry
• Not recommended for mixing with GT Rootzone or GT CCS, as hydrogen peroxide can break down organic-based nutrients and chelated iron
• If combining with fertiliser, add hydrogen peroxide last to the already-diluted nutrient solution and use immediately - do not leave mixed solutions sitting
• Mixing with nutrients is off-label use; a test application is recommended first
• At low rates (e.g. algae prevention) interactions with nutrients are less likely; at higher rates (e.g. fungus gnat control) use hydrogen peroxide with water only
