Calcium Ammonium Nitrate Prilled (15.5-0-0 + 18.5% Calcium)

Calcium Nitrate Granular is a highly soluble fertiliser that provides two essential plant nutrients in one application — readily available Nitrogen and Calcium. Suitable for vegetables, fruit trees, vines, flowers, turf, ornamentals, hydroponic systems, and fertigation programs, Calcium Nitrate delivers fast nutrient uptake and predictable plant responses throughout all stages of growth.

Nitrogen drives vigorous vegetative growth, protein production, and overall plant development, while Calcium plays a critical role in strengthening cell walls, improving produce quality, and supporting healthy tissue development. Together, these nutrients help produce stronger plants, improved crop quality, and enhanced post-harvest performance.

Unlike urea-based fertilisers, the nitrate Nitrogen in Calcium Nitrate is immediately available for plant uptake without requiring conversion in the soil, providing a fast and reliable growth response. This makes Calcium Nitrate particularly useful during periods of active growth, flowering, fruit set, and crop development.

Suitable for both soil-grown and hydroponic crops, Calcium Nitrate is commonly used to prevent and correct Calcium deficiencies and assist in reducing physiological disorders such as blossom end rot in tomatoes and capsicums, bitter pit in apples, hollow heart in brassicas, and tip burn in lettuce.

How it Works

Calcium Nitrate supplies plants with immediately available nitrate Nitrogen and highly soluble Calcium. The nitrate Nitrogen supports rapid growth, healthy foliage development, and protein formation, while Calcium strengthens plant cell walls and improves structural integrity throughout the plant.

Adequate Calcium nutrition helps improve crop quality, firmness, storage life, and overall plant performance. Strong cell wall development supports healthy plant growth and can help minimise common Calcium-related disorders that affect fruit and vegetable quality.

Because Calcium Nitrate is highly soluble, nutrients are quickly absorbed by plant roots and become available for immediate use, making it ideal for fertigation systems, hydroponic applications, and intensive crop production.
